Marshalls Bricks and Masonry attended Persimmon Homes' 'Pathways to Success' at the Coleg Gwent City of Newport Campus on Thursday 26th April, where Marshalls had provided the bricks for the day. The competition was arranged with all East Wales Colleges, in which 18 students competed for a place on Persimmon Homes' Apprenticeship Scheme.
There were 9 students from each category; Level 1 Bricklaying and Level 2 Bricklaying. The top 3 from each category were then chosen and offered an interview with Persimmon Homes.
It was a great day and we would like to say congratulations to everyone that took part, including Level 1 winner Luke Brand and Level 2 winner Tom Verrier. Good luck with your interviews, and best of luck in your future bricklaying careers!
