A fascinating project to preserve biodiversity in the Forest of Dean has used Marshalls' quality concrete facing bricks to construct a safe new home for rare bats.
Designed by Apex Architects, two purpose built roosts on a site known as Cinderford Northern Quarter provide a secure roost for hundreds of Greater and Lesser Horseshoe bats. The brick-built roosts can also be used by other bats, a protected species in the UK
The new roosts replace existing roosts in derelict buildings, which are being demolished as part of a £100 million regeneration scheme of new homes, a hotel and a new spine road.
